With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rufus Selph Jr. of Cromwell, Connecticut, born in Hemingway, South Carolina, who passed away on April 24, 2022 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rufus Selph Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Rufus Self Sr.; and his brothers, Willie J. Blow, Samuel Self and Rubart Self. He is survived by: his former wife Roxanne Aaron; his sisters, Annie Ruth Anderson of Hemingway, SC and Mable Sowell of Orangeburg, SC; his children, Tara Ayers (Mtume) of Wake Forest, NC, Rick Selph of Cromwell, CT and Chad Selph of Harlem, NY; and his granddaughter Hannah Simone Ayers of Wake Forest, NC. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Legion Post #206, P.O. Box 399, Middletown CT 06457.
