Kwame Ocansey wrote a sympathy message

“No more pain, no more anguish. Norm, you are gone into the arms of your creator. But the memories of your kindness and poise, your strong will for life against all odds, your intense care and compassion for your fellow humans will live in our hearts for ever. Please Say ‘Hi’ to Pete Seeger for all of us. And most of all rest in perpetual peace.”
