He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Stanley Niedbala, Sr. and Stella Niedbala (Bednarz); and his sister Joanne. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Amanda (Robert), Nolan, Sean, Connel and Daniel (Yuletzi); his grandsons, Samuel and Isaac; his son Gregory (Christine); his grandchildren, Elna of Wethersfield and Malin of Wethersfield; and his cousin Dorothy Hemingway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center and Cromwell Children's Coalition.
