She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Rucker and Harriette Rucker (Timmons). She is survived by: her husband Gilbert L. Hampton; her sons, Chad E. Hampton (Makeba), Chet E. Hampton (Lisa) and Scott D. Hampton (Mira); her grandchildren, Abria Burney, Antwaum Burney, Jasmine Hampton, Vaughn Hampton and Luka Hampton; and her siblings, Ronald Rucker, Darryl Rucker, Rhonda Niles, Barbara Rucker and Debra Rucker. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorable contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Unit 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
