He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward, Sr. Franklin and Anne Franklin (Steffens); and his brothers, Edward L. Franklin, Jr. and J. Richard Franklin. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Mary Franklin; his nephews, Phil Franklin (Sue) and Steve Franklin (Kim); and his niece Cathy Scholl (Gary). He is also survived by several grandnieces and a grandnephew.
