He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Kovalaski and Julius Kovalaski; and his siblings, Josephine, Jennie, Joseph, John, Julius and Zigmund.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Christine Cornish (Bruce), Ellen Quinn (Owen), Paula Marchetti, Michele Turner (Robert), Connie Burzinske, Donna Lonergan, James Kovalaski and Wayne Kovalaski; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Heather Cornish (Godfrey Nelson), Hilary Meza (Allan), Megan Quinn, Maura Quinn, Alexandra Doyle (Alexander Weintraub), Evan Doyle and Gavin Kennedy; his friends, Carlos Jiminez, Gloria Perret, Joanne Hartman, June Mullaney, Karen Ionnotta, Tammy O'Connor and Donna Czaja; and also, Bentley Meza, Ivy Nelson and Tessa Meza.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to a newly established Torrington scholarship fund in Cas's name, from which scholarships will be given to Torrington students who plan to attend college to pursue a teaching degree in the field of.
