He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard F. Grant and Althea E. Grant (Littlefield); his wife Nancy (Rhines); his granddaughters, Cathy Grant of Pomfret and Laurie Adams (Grant); his son-in-law Michael Adams of Tolland; his grandchildren, Ashley Adams of Huntington Beach, CA and Zachary Adams of Tolland; his sister Nancy Grant of Colchester; his nieces, Janet (Starkweather), Soboleski (Kevin), Brenda (Starkweather) and Timmer (Robin); his nephew David Starkweather; and his friend Roland Daigle of Hebron.
