She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Madden and Catherine Madden (Baronousky). She is survived by: her spouse Robert; her pet Shannon; her children, Jennifer Downing and Richard Downing; her grandchildren, Cassity, Karly, Robert, Ashley March, Celia, Lucas, Patrick, Jennifer March, Peter, Diana March and Andrew Brand; and her siblings, Daniel, Kathleen (Ronald Fiengo), Nancy (Edward Hayes), Joanie (Clarence Silvia), Patricia Madden, Maureen (Kevin Estey), Bridget (Lawrence Oates) and Brenda (Patrick Bourne).

In lieu of flowers, Elizabeth requested that donations be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
