He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara "Emily" Sheldon Whitford; his father Gail Whitford; and his siblings, Marie Whitford Kearns and David Whitford. He is survived by: his children, Donald Whitford (Melissa) and Mollie Sogliuzzi (Gus); his grandchildren, Christina, Hunter, Gabriella, Nevin, Logan and Dominic; his sisters, Judy Whitford Jasch and Kathy Whitford Harmon; and his sisters-in-law, Jackie Whitford, Jean Mosher and Mary Sheldon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
