With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis L. Lester of Columbia, Connecticut, born in Willimantic, Connecticut, who passed away on September 11, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lis and Eva Lis (Marceau); and her godson Thomas Keegan. She is survived by: her daughter Phyllis; her husband Jack; her children, Michael Lester (Colleen), Nancy Clapp (David), Suzanne Lester, Patrick Lester and Amy Lester; her grandchildren, Katie Lester (Joshua Frankel), Amanda Albert (Andrew Albert), Ryan Lester (Gillian Weeks) and Dr. Andrea Clapp (Michael Daly); her siblings, Norma Keegan of Columbia and Dr. John Lis of Ithaca, NY; her sister-in-law Susan Humes (Brad) of Willimantic; and her caregiver Keri Bova.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Saint Columba Church Lighting Fund.
