It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Volkens of Columbia, Connecticut, who passed away on February 14, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Valentine Kern and Anna Kern (Bolth); and her children, Janet, Philip and Raymond.
She is survived by: her children, Augie (Kimberly Volkens) of Milford, CT and Gladys (Christopher Barros) of Columbia, CT; her grandchildren, John, Regina, Raymond, Blake, Ashley, Nicholas, Heather and Yvonne; and her great grandchildren, Noah, Patrick, Kira Rae, Brittney and Billy.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donation to Save The Children or Hospice.
