It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara S. Leary of Columbia, Connecticut, who passed away on January 11, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Billie B. Taylor and Whitney R. Sandstrom; her daughter Cynthia; and her brothers, David and Jim Stearns.

She is survived by: her husband Leo; her daughter Cheryl Smith (Ray) of Windham; her granddaughter Heather Smith of Windham; her sister Ellen Charney (Dennis) of Phoeniz, AZ; and her sister-in-law Katherine Stearns of Mansfield. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Congregational Church of Willimantic, 199 Valley St. Willimantic, CT 06226.
