He was predeceased by: his son Gary Szydlo; his brother Donald Szydlo; and his granddaughter Erin Szydlo. He is survived by: his wife Mildred M. Szydlo (Thomas); his children, Ernest W. Szydlo, Jr. of Bristol, Thomas Szydlo (Linda) of New Britain, Cathy Szydlo of Collinsville, Randal Szydlo (Tearie) of Houston, TX, Gail Szydlo of Collinsville and Cherie Osmun (Darrell) of Collinsville; his sister-in-law Betty Albright of New Jersey; and his grandchildren, Lee, Jason, Desiree, Ernest III, James, Joseph, Jacquelyn, Joel, Kirsten, Cord, Jessica, Kyle, Kayla and Kody. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
