He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Cedarfield and Emily Van Cedarfield (Bliss); his stepchildren, Menta and Anna; and his siblings, Myrtle Bennette, Barbara Standish, Lawrence, Harold, Daniel, Francis and James Van Cedarfield.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca; his children, Richard Van Cedarfield (Carol) of Newington, Ronald Van Cedarfield of Wethersfield, Ernest, Jr. Van Cedarfield (Jean) of Virginia, Debra James of California, Steven Van Cedarfield of Hebron and Mark Van Cedarfield (Carol) of Colchester; his stepchildren, Samantha Horocks (John) of Wilton, ME, Ronald Chamberlain of Coventry, Richard Chamberlain of Interlachen, FL and Frank Chamberlain (Amy) of East Hampton; and his siblings, David Van Cedarfield of Colchester, Jack Van Cedarfield of Florida and Margaret Corsaro. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
