He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burgess and Alvina Burgess (Cormier). He is survived by: his stepson John Phelps; his children, Melissa, Isabella, Ian and Peggy Bachota (Steven); his siblings, Gary Burgess (Meg), James Burgess Jr. and Lisa Snyder; and his pets, Ralph and Alice.
