He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph T. Gormley and Eudora Gormley; and his grandson Shane Dorne. He is survived by: his wife Nancy J. Jennings of Fairfield, CT; his children, Eileen Bailey (Daniel), Sharon Dorne (George Turner), J. Thomas Gormley (Jenny) and David Gormley (Sue Ha); his sisters, Barbara Driscoll and Sue Lyons; his grandchildren, Joseph Tagliaferri (Michelle), Courtney Tagliaferri (Matt Hicks), Luke Bailey, Jessie, Dylan Dorne, Molly, Julie Gormley, Nicole, Danielle and Claudia Gormley; and his great grandchildren, Joseph and Jackson Tagliaferri.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Homes - Cheshire (615 S Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bridget of Sweden Parish (175 Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the St. Bridget Cemetery (144 Higgins Rd, Cheshire, CT 06410).
