He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sr. and Frances Welch (Ryan); and his daughter Meaghan Welch. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Welch; his daughters, Tara Welch Perry (Tim) of Cheshire and Heather Santi (Christopher) of Cheshire; his grandchildren, Samantha Stacy (William, Jr.), Christopher Santi Jr. and Victoria Santi; his great grandchild Meaghan Stacy; and his siblings, Neal Welch, Sheila McInnis and Susan Antillon. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
