With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara F. Cheney (Cheshire, Connecticut), born in Hudson, New York, who passed away on July 21, 2018 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her spouse Raymond W. Cheney; her parent Leland Friss; her son Jon R. Cheney; and her siblings, Patricia Newnham and Donald Friss.

She is survived by: her parent Anna Frankel Friss; her daughters, Kim Ferencz (Tom) of Bethany, Nancy Ruggeries (John) of Waterbury and Linda Chouinard (Michael) of Waterbury; and her sister Kathleen Friss Stryscharz of Enfield. She is also survived by grandchildren and 3 cherished great-grandchildren.
