He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Helen Mayer (Laskes); his parents, Jacob Mayer and Dora Mayer (Stoeckle); his children, Peter (Rebecca) of Cheshire and Lisa (David) of Colorado; and his grandchildren, Hannah, Myles, Luke and Noah.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Homes - Cheshire (615 S Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cheshire Lutheran Church (660 W Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at the Inurnment Cheshire Lutheran Church (660 W Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The National Kidney Foundation and The American Diabetes Association. In memory of Alfred E.
