It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley I. DeFosse of Central Village, Connecticut, born in Norwich, Connecticut, who passed away on May 18, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Louis Richard Sr.; her parents, Raymond C. Taber and Dorothy Rose Taber Sr. (Moffitt); and her siblings, Donald, Raymond, Richard Taber and Joan Couture.

She is survived by: her children, Darlene Hoffman, Cheryl Gervais of Niantic, Patti Beaver (Noel) of Plainfield, Louis Richard Jr. (Tammy) of Piscataway, NJ and Dean (Mia) of Griswold; and her siblings, Douglas Taber (Brenda) of Moosup and Beverly Blais of Dayville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
