He was predeceased by: his mother Elizabeth Symonds (Wadlin). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Symonds (Oliver); his father Richard N. Symonds, Jr. of Tolland, CT; his daughters, Kristin Symonds (Robert Langmaid) of West Hartford and Kelsey Symonds of New Britain; his brother Robert Symonds (Sharon) of Willington, CT; his grandchildren, Kinsley, Leah and Anthony Langmaid; his siblings-in-law, Steve and Ellen Oliver of Canton, CT; and his nieces and nephews, Heather, Seth Symonds, Stephen, Zachary and Kaelyn Oliver.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Canton (120 Albany Turnpike, Canton, CT 06019). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the Dyer Cemetery.
