We are sad to announce that on June 4, 2019, at the age of 86, John Herbst (Canton, Connecticut), born in Ford City, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John H. Herbst and Mary Herbst (Bartek); and his son Arthur D. Herbst. He is survived by : his wife Marcia E. Herbst (Copenhaver); his daughter Julia Wholey (Brien); his granddaughter Nina Wholey of Canton; his son Andrew Herbst; his grandchildren, Nicole and Nathan Herbst of Seattle; his siblings, Maryanna Fichthorn (Joseph Fichthorn) and Henry E. Herbst; his siblings-in-law, Doris Herbst, Michael Angello Sr. (Joann), Melissa Ebig and Patty Charney; his cousin Janet Cloak; his nieces and nephews, Donald, Gregory, Nanette Herbst, Drew Ebig, Deanna Angello, Michael Angello Jr., Christine Klingesmith, Ellen Barker, Richard, Edward and Robert Charney; his pets, Socrates and Plato; and also, Joanna Fichthorn Rosebush and Ross Fichthorn.

Memorial donations may be made in John's name to a favorite charity.
