He was predeceased by: his parent William Hughes; and his siblings, William Griggs, Robert Griggs and Eva "Tinker" Ogden. He is survived by: his parent Eva Griggs; his wife Joan N. Griggs of Canton; his children, Sandi Perillo-Simmons (Michael) of Guilford and Timothy S. Griggs (Kathi) of Wetumpka; and his grandchildren, Sarah Perillo and Matt Perillo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
