He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Upton and Mary Daisy Upton (Skipper); his brothers, Roland Upton and Eugene Upton (Betty); and his mother-in-law Judith Schulz.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Fay Upton (Schulz); his siblings, Robert Upton (Rita) of Roanoke, TX, Ella Mae Harris (Alex) of Hope Mills, NC and Louise Steirer (Larry) of Kissimmee, FL; his father-in-law Martin Schulz of Plainville; his siblings-in-law, Philip Schulz (Lonni) of Simsbury, Joyce Upton of Decatur, TX and Laura Rosenberg (John) of Avon; and also Molly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carl's memory to the American Cancer Society.
