It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Bernier of Canton, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on November 17, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred David Bernier, Jr.; her parents, Benjamin Norton Miller and Ella Miller (Bruey); and her sister Patricia Miller Mele. She is survived by: her close friends, Ann, Cathy and Ruth; her children, Linda Helferty of West Chester, PA, Karen Kim (Hyunni) of Ellington, CT, Sherril Roberts (Ben) of Gainsville, GA and James Bernier (Barbara) of Newtown, CT; her niece Barbara Mele; and her grandchildren, Janelle Kao, Daniel Helferty, Michael Helferty, Abigail Kim, Jason Kim, Nicole Wierzbinski, Rebecca Young, Alicia Carrafiello and Michael Carrafiello. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
