With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley L. Ezzell of Canterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Shirley is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Shirley's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Wigfield and Virginia Wigfield (Hatcher); and her husband Eugene R Ezzell. She is survived by: her children, Joanne Russell (Brian), Vicki Baird (Ron), Mark Hershberger (Judy), Timothy Hershberger (Judy) and Chad Ezzell (Maureen).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home (595 Norwich Rd, Plainfield, CT 06374). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations in Shirley's name may be made to the American Heart Association.
