He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Abbatello and Doris Abbatello (Andrews). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Abbatello (Brunetti); his daughters, Marlo Michaud (Brian) of Tennessee, Dina Schaffrick (Timothy) of Bristol, CT, Stephanie Holden (Parker) of Harwinton, CT and Rebecca Krol (Andrew) of Wolcott, CT; his sisters, Barbara Bosco (James) of Woodbridge, CT and Carol Bannigan (Michael) of New Hartford, NY; his grandchildren, Christian, Abigail, Amanda, Samantha, Alexie, Brendan, Emily, Robert and Keith; and his great grandchildren, Carsyn, Jensen, Arlow, Adrianna and Kennedy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (http://www.stjude.org).
