He was predeceased by: his parents, Matti Oja and Anna Oja; and his brothers, Aarne, Edward and Rudolph.
He is survived by: his wife Irja Oja (Kiviniemi); his daughters, Sheila Dillon (Tom) of Mystic, CT and Tuula Burell of Mansfield, CT; his grandson David Mathieu (Lori); his great grandchildren, Katie, David, Jr. and Irene Reidemeister (Carl); his sister Toini Chabot; his nieces and nephews, Diane Lynch, Deborah Crook (Alan), Denise Chabot and Darcy Dema (John); his sister-in-law Reeta Oja; his nieces and nephews, Aarne and Maria; and also, Pamela Guari (John), Haley Tiffany, Matthew Tiffany, Jack Guari, Madeline Guari, Jim Tourtellotte (Kelly), Lydia, Alison, Carl C. Reidemeister (Kathy), Kristy Varsen (Matthew), Kevin Reidemeister (Cailey), Eric Reidemeister (Eugenia) of Boynton Beach, FL, Marisa and Ryan.
