He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Lajoie and Bertha Lajoie (Sanfacon); his wife Rita M. Lajoie (Beaulieu); his son Michael Lajoie; and his brother Bobby Lajoie.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Lajoie (Lisa) of Southington, Tina Lajoie and Dennis Laperle; his grandchildren, Trevor Lajoie (Kaley), Patrick Lajoie, Layne Earehart, Ashley Merlo and Jillian Rodrigues (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Lena McCart, Saige Rodrigues and Penelope Earehart; and his sister Lena Fournier.
