He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Herbert and Bertha Wilcox (Montgomery) of Pachaug; his former wife Beatrice (Bardeen); his wife Susan (Ennis); and his siblings, Frank and Mary Louise.
He is survived by: his sister Nancy Martin of Woburn; and his sons, John (Nancy) of Brooklyn, Robert (Nancy) of Bothell, WA and Jeffrey (Janice) of Chelmsford, MA. He is also survived by five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
