He is survived by: his parents, John S. Meehan and Margaret "Peg" Ryan; his siblings, Margaret Meehan Flanagan and John S. "Jackie" Meehan; his spouse Mary Tsakonas; his daughters, Thalia Meehan of Watertown, MA and Thera Meehan (Jim Brouillard) of Watertown, MA; his grandson Angus "Gus" Hugh Gorman; his significant other Elaine Mathieu; his daughters, Stacey Poole (Rob Poole) and Sheri Mathieu (Ron Sorensen); his granddaughters, Morgan and Chelsea; and his great grandchildren, Natalia, Kenzie, Zoey and Ava. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Watertown Music, which supports music education in the school system his grandson attends.
