He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Joyal (Jutras) and Eddie Joyal; and his brother Patrick. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his sister Christine; his children, Lindsey (Greg), Aaron (Amber) and Geoffrey (Heide); his grandchildren, Savannah, Taylor, Kameron, Hailey and Anthony; and his children, Althea (Nate), David (Danielle) and Curtis (Sarah). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in honor of Denis Joyal.
