She was predeceased by: her parents, Frans Jalonen and Iida Jalonen (Lahteensuo); and her spouse Arvi Karhu. She is survived by: her daughter Carol E. Karhu-Grynewicz; her granddaughter Elizabeth Bruner (Sean) of Florida; and her sister-in-law Leila Jalonen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
