He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Wernicki and Josephine Wernicki (Powloski); his wife Ruth Wernicki (Stevens); and his siblings, William, Stanley, Charlie, Edward Wernicki and Jennie Wernicki.
He is survived by: his brother Wernicki Trucking; and his son Steven Wernicki of Wilton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
