He was predeceased by: his daughter Michelle A. Volpe; his parents, Peter Ehrhard and Bertha Ehrhard (Bailey); and his sisters, Eleanor Taylor, Margaret Fitzpatrick and Beatrice Kolwicz.

He is survived by: his wife Dora Ehrhard (Butera); his son-in-law Charles "Chick" Volpe Jr. of Danbury; and his grandsons, Charles Volpe III (Kate Appley) and Michael Volpe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“We moved to Florida in July 2019 after living on Hillside Circle for 40 years and new Mr Ehrhard as a wonderful person to stop and talk to as we made a walk thur our streets. New he went to Florida with his wife every year. He was always fussing with his yard as he was a very proud person. As we passed by we always waved. We just want to send our condolences to his wife and family. God Bless”
