He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Alice Kasper Amend; and his son Arthur David. He is survived by: his children, Allison Vorderstrasse, Joellen Adae, Robert Amend (Jessica) and Elizabeth Suchy (Peter); his grandchildren, Kwabena, Kwasi, Kiley, Emery, Claire and Hannah; his siblings, Catherine George, Priscilla McSweeney and Kenneth Amend; and his brother-in-law Joseph T. Kasper, Jr.. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
