He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Schon and Magdalene Schon (Schwartz); his wife Lianna G. Schon; his son Michael Schon; his siblings, Hugo Schon and Irma Michaud; and his daughter-in-law Melissa Schon.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Welton of Ellington and David Schon of Broad Brook; his grandsons, W. Gregory Schon, Suffield, David S. Welton, Nathan Welton of Ellington and Evan Welton of Burlington; and his brothers, Friedhold Schon (Renate) of Ohio, Roland Schon of Scantic and Heinz Schon (Maryellen) of Ellington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
