He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Murphy and Viola Murphy (Gilman); his wife Lillian Murphy (Eschner); his grandson Cullen Russell Murphy; and his sister Jean Coates.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie Coutsouridis (Dean), Susan Provenzano (Chuck) and Brian Murphy (Pamela); his grandchildren, Christopher Coutsouridis (Erica), Alexis Goodfield (Paul), Angela Provenzano, Ashley Provenzano and Ryan Murphy; and his great grandchildren, Sadie Goodfield and George Coutsouridis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MDA, the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
