Rowena James Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rowena James (Bristol, Connecticut), who passed away on February 18, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Courtland M. James; her parents, Roy Welsh and Ethel Welsh (Williams); her daughters, Sheree James and Lori Poruk; her granddaughter Ashley Thompson; and her sisters, Margaret Phyllis, Eleanor James and Mildred Slocum.
She is survived by: her sons, Courtland James Jr. of Batavia and Gary James (Cindy) of Bristol; her grandchildren, Jason, Matthew James and Jennifer Poruk; and her brothers, Roy Welsh (Mary) of Clinton and William "Billy" Welsh (Wendy) of Freeport, ME. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rowena's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
