He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Champagne and Gert Champagne (Murphy); his son Ronald Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Veronica "Roni" Skinzera. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Champagne (Skinzera); his son Anthony Skinzera (Jessica Anderson) of Bristol; and his granddaughter Amber Skinzera of Wallingford. He is also survived by one brother and two sisters and several nieces and nephews.
