He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marie Mae Martel (Castonguay); his parents, Jules Martel and Laura Martel (Fradette); his children, Donald Martel (Beth) of Harwinton, David Martel (Susan) of Harwinton, Tammy Niman (Michael) of Bristol and Julie Testa (Steven) of Cromwell; his brother Robert Martel; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Stephanie Niman, Karley, Jamie, Andrea, Hailey, Alise Martel, Sophia and Cameron Testa; and his sister Alice Masotti. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
