With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita R. Elliott of Bristol, Connecticut, who passed away on October 7, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dominic Ruggerio and Raffaella Ruggerio (Macrina); her husband Ross G. Elliott, Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Janice Ruggerio, Olcott V. Snow and Therese Snow; and her cousin Kathleen Griffin.

She is survived by: her children, Ross, III (Rosalio Inojosa), Catherine (Dennis Yanavich) and Patricia (Matthew Malley); and her grandsons, Brayden (Owen Welsh) and Spencer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks your donations to Saint Matthew Church, or the charity of your choice.

“My sincerest sympathy to Rita’s family and friends. I was the Executive Director of the Gables when Rita moved in. She was one of the most positive residents EVER! Whenever I’d ask her how everyone was, she consistently replied, “What’s not to like!! I don’t cook or clean and have many friends here.” I told her on several occasions she was our biggest cheerleader! Everyone loved Rita and I in particular loved working with her. She certainly has a special place in heaven. Noreen Washburn”
