It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard D. Santorso Sr. of Bristol, Connecticut, who passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Porky" Santorso and Maye Lorene Byrom; his son Richard "Ricky" Santorso Jr.; his former wife Susan Santorso (Schubert); and his sisters, Sherrill Santorso and Sylvia McBurney.
He is survived by: his wife Xue Ping Santorso; his daughter Tina Santorso-Rembert; his son-in-law George "Tony" Rembert; his grandchildren, Joél Santorso-Rivera, Cashis Santorso-Dixon, Tianna (Moody), Gia, Gianna and Simya Rembert; his great grandchildren, Aiyanna and Jaylannie Santorso-Rivera; and also, Jaylene Ramos, Michael Santorso, Joseph "Tony" Santorso, Kelly Santorso-Colagiovanni, Michele Santorso-Gavitt and Sharon Brooks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funk Funeral Home (35 Bellevue Ave, Bristol, CT 06010).
