He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel Ruel and Cecile Ruel (Couture); his siblings, Albert Ruel, Denise M. Ruel, Yvonne Ruel, Laurea Esau and Denese D. Ruel; and his friends, Steve Whitton and Sid Standish.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Ruel (Perry); his close friends, Keith Flanaghan, Jimmy and Tom Colapietro; his children, Kevin Ruel (Wendy) of Shawnee, KS and Kristie Levesque (Mark Merriam) of Bristol; his grandchildren, Jerramy Dear-Ruel of Montana, Travis Ruel of Kansas, Zachary Taylor of Tennessee, Ethan Ruel of Kansas, Amber Matthews of Missouri, Nicole Ruel of South Dakota and Emma Levesque of Bristol; his great grandchildren, Danielle, Alex, Bailey, Cheyanne, David Jr., Lucy, Noah, Zoey, Nimaué, Levi, Jet, Mason and Jack; his sister Jane Holden (Peter) of Bristol; and his godchildren, Laura Ruel Esau, Todd Perry and Chad Holden.
