He was predeceased by: his wife Stella Hafner (Janczyk); his parents, Karl Hafner and Bibiana Hafner (Knoll); his stepson Gregory Werner; and his siblings, Karl Hafner, Anna Janczyk and Hedwig Hartl. He is also survived by several nieces and nephew.
