She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles A. and Edith McCarthy, Sr. (Russell); her son David J. Kleinschmidt; her former husband Robert C. Kleinschmidt; and also Russell S. McCarthy.
She is survived by: her children, Carrie Kleinschmidt (Jennifer Whitcomb) of Andover and Steven Kleinschmidt (Karen) of Bristol; her stepdaughter Roberta K. Gentile (Gene) of Bristol; her siblings, Joan Armet (Brian) of Berlin, Mary L. Reardon (Mark) of Enfield and Charles A. McCarthy, Jr. of Bristol; her grandchildren, Alex, Kevin, Kaylyn, Carolyn, Adriana and Gina; and her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Evelena, Leo and Jack. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the DuPont Funeral Home (25 Bellevue Ave, Bristol, CT 06010). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (503 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT 06708).
