She is survived by: her children, Dr Theodore Mayer (Marjorie) of St Clair Shores, James Mayer (Virginia) of West Hartford, CT, Paul Mayer (Susan) of Granville, MA and Catherine Pings (Gregory) of Danbury, CT.; her grandchildren, Jonathan Mayer (Ana) of Torslanda, Sweden, Heidi McDermott (John) of Jersey City, NJ, Gretchen Mayer of Brooklyn, NY, Kyle Mayer (Sarah) of Hartford, Caroline Mayer, Kate Rice (Matt) of North Kingstown, RI, Eric Mayer of East Granby and Robert Mayer of East Granby; and her sisters-in-law, Joan Smith and Dorothy Petersen. She is also survived by nine Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
