It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph M. Jakum of Bristol, Connecticut, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Jakum and Margaret Jakum; his parents-in-law, Bernard and Phyllis Patton; and his niece Kastine Black.

He is survived by: his friends, Pat and Terry Mahoney; his wife Wanda Jakum; his son Jason Jakum; his daughter-in-law Sheena Jakum; his granddaughters, Rylin, Riese and Reagan Jakum; his sisters, Linda Brown (Bob) and Rose McKechnie (Gregg); his nieces and nephews, Jaime McGeachy (Clint), Kevin Taylor, Jeremy Mckechnie (Stephanie) and Josh McKechnie (Justine); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Zachary and Dilan; his siblings-in-law, Lorraine Black, Karen Patton and Andy Patton (Lorna); his nephews, Chris Black, Kurt Black (Tiffiny), Scott Black (Melissa), Drew Patton (Merissa) and Devon Patton (Nicole); and his great-nieces, Miranda and Maria.
