Rick Swenton wrote a sympathy message

“Jon was a good friend throughout our years of serving in the St. joseph Church Music Minisrty. He was a talented musician and a thoughtful, caring person. We could go from being cantors together on a Sunday to troublemaking during rehearsals on Tuesday. Our conversations over coffee or a beer could range from technology to music to ethics and spirituality. I will miss Jon's sense of humor. My deepest sympathies to Mary Jean and Jon's daughters and family.”
