It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Richard Hartman (Bristol, Connecticut), born in Meriden, Connecticut, who passed away on December 4, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, James Hartman and Mary Jane Ceruti; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Ceruti and Majorie Hartman. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Hartman (Caregnato); his children, Jeanne Matty (Hanley), John T. Hartman (Bonnie), Mary Jo Valdez (Scott), Michael Hartman and Lynne Hartman (Frank Caestecker); his grandchildren, Emmeline Matty (Josh Mueller), Siobhan Matty, Michael A. Hartman, Petra Hartman, Alana Valdez, Sam Valdez, Lisa Hartman (Amelia Calbry-Muzyka), Thomas Hartman, Maks Caestecker and Sander Caestecker; his great grandchild Ainsley Mueller; his brother Philip Hartman; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Hartman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family respectfully asks everyone who attends to wear masks while at the church and cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date due to the pandemic.
